Air Fryer Yogurt Chicken
Servings: 4
Prep Time: 10 minutes (plus marinating time)
Cook Time: 15-18 minutes
Total Time: 25-28 minutes (plus marinating)
Ingredients:
1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into large chunks
1 cup plain Greek yogurt
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
Marinate the Chicken:
In a large bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper.
Add the chicken chunks to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for best flavor.
Air Fry the Chicken:
Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C).
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Arrange the marinated chicken chunks in a single layer in the basket. If necessary, cook in batches to avoid overcrowding.
Air fry for 15-18 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Serve and Enjoy:
Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Pro Tips:
Marinating Time: The longer you marinate the chicken, the more flavorful and tender it will be. For best results, marinate for at least 1 hour.
Uniform Size: Cut the chicken into even-sized chunks to ensure all pieces cook evenly.
Avoid Overcrowding: Overcrowding the air fryer basket can lead to uneven cooking. Work in batches if necessary.
Serving Suggestions:
Serve Over Rice: Serve the yogurt chicken over a bed of fluffy rice with fresh herbs.
Add to a Salad: Slice the cooked chicken and add to a Greek-style salad with tomatoes, cucumber, olives, and feta cheese.
Wrap It Up: Stuff the chicken into pita bread with lettuce, cucumber, and a dollop of tzatziki sauce for a delicious wrap. Air Fryer Yogurt Chicken
