Air Fryer Stouffer’s Stuffed Peppers

Why You’ll Love It

Stouffer’s Stuffed Peppers are a hearty, home-style classic featuring green bell peppers filled with seasoned ground beef and rice in a rich tomato sauce. When air-fried, the pepper gets beautifully roasted and the sauce thickens to perfection, delivering a bold, oven-baked flavor in a fraction of the time.

Ingredients

  • 1 frozen Stouffer’s Stuffed Peppers meal (single-serve; do not thaw)

  • Optional toppings: shredded cheese, parsley, or sour cream

  • Optional sides: garlic bread, roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes

Step-by-Step Instructions

Preheat the Air Fryer

Preheat your air fryer to 370°F for 3–5 minutes to ensure even heating throughout the cook.

Prepare the Meal

  • Remove the tray from the box, but keep the black plastic container intact.

  • Puncture 2–3 small holes in the plastic film to allow steam to escape during cooking.

Air Fry

  • Place the meal tray directly into the air fryer basket.

  • Cook at 370°F for 26–30 minutes total.

  • At the 15-minute mark, carefully peel back the film (watch out for steam), stir the tomato sauce around the peppers, and lightly re-cover.

  • Continue cooking until the peppers are soft, the filling is hot, and the sauce is bubbling.

Check for Doneness

  • The pepper should be tender and slightly roasted on the outside.

  • Ground beef and rice mixture should be hot all the way through.

  • Tomato sauce should thicken and bubble around the edges.

  • Internal temp of the filling should be at least 165°F.

  • Let stand for 2 minutes before eating.

Pro Tips

  • For extra richness, top with shredded mozzarella or cheddar during the last 5 minutes of air frying.

  • Want more flavor? Add a sprinkle of Italian seasoning or red pepper flakes after cooking.

  • Spoon extra sauce over the pepper just before serving for added juiciness.

Serving Ideas

  • Pair with:

    • Garlic toast or crusty bread

    • Roasted carrots, broccoli, or Brussels sprouts

    • Mashed potatoes or a simple green salad

  • Optional garnishes:

    • Sour cream

    • Fresh chopped basil or parsley

    • Grated Parmesan

Storage & Reheating
