Air Fryer Mediterranean Lemon Herb Grouper


Light, refreshing, and packed with vibrant flavors, this Air Fryer Mediterranean Lemon Herb Grouper is a perfect healthy meal. Air-fried to flaky perfection and infused with zesty citrus and fresh herbs, it’s an easy yet elegant dish.



Ingredients:

  • 4 grouper fillets (about 6 oz each)

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

  • ½ teaspoon paprika

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • Lemon wedges, for serving

  • Fresh parsley, for garnish



Instructions:


1. Prepare the Grouper:

  • Rinse the grouper fillets and pat them dry thoroughly with paper towels.

  • Lightly season both sides with salt and pepper.


2. Make the Lemon Herb Marinade:

  • In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic, oregano, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper.


3. Marinate the Fish:

  • Brush the marinade generously over both sides of the grouper fillets.

  • Let the fish marinate for 15-20 minutes to absorb the flavors.


4. Preheat the Air Fryer:

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes.


5. Cook the Grouper:

  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.

  • Arrange the fillets in a single layer in the basket. Cook in batches if needed.

  • Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fish is tender and flakes easily with a fork.


6. Serve:

  • Transfer the grouper to a serving plate. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges for an extra burst of citrus.

  • Fresh Herbs: Use fresh oregano and thyme for a more vibrant flavor. If using dried herbs, slightly reduce the quantities.

  • Don’t Overcook: Grouper cooks quickly, so check for doneness at the 8-minute mark.

  • Alternative Flavors: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinade for a slight kick.
