Air Fryer Garlic Butter Swordfish Steaks

Rich and savory, these Air Fryer Garlic Butter Swordfish Steaks are a luxurious dish that’s incredibly easy to make. Perfectly air-fried and topped with a luscious garlic butter sauce, this recipe is perfect for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion.

Ingredients:

For the Swordfish:

  • 4 swordfish steaks (about 6-8 oz each)

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

For the Garlic Butter Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

  • ½ teaspoon paprika

For Garnish:

  • Lemon wedges

  • Fresh parsley

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Swordfish:

  • Rinse the swordfish steaks and pat them dry thoroughly with paper towels.

  • Brush both sides of the steaks with olive oil and season lightly with salt and pepper.

2. Preheat the Air Fryer:

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes.

3. Cook the Swordfish:

  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.

  • Place the swordfish steaks in a single layer in the basket. Cook in batches if necessary.

  • Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

4. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:

  • While the fish cooks, mix melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, lemon juice, and paprika in a small bowl.

5. Serve:

  • Transfer the cooked swordfish steaks to a serving plate. Drizzle the garlic butter sauce generously over the steaks.

  • Garnish with additional parsley and serve immediately with lemon wedges.

Pro Tips for Success:

  • Preferred Doneness: Swordfish should be cooked until opaque but still moist. Avoid overcooking to retain tenderness.

  • Custom Flavors: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the butter sauce for a hint of heat.

  • Alternative Fish: This recipe also works wonderfully with halibut or mahi-mahi steaks.
