Air Fryer Alexia Sweet Potato Waffle Fries

Servings: 4

Prep Time: 1 minute

Cook Time: 10-12 minutes

Total Time: 13 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag (20 oz) Alexia Sweet Potato Waffle Fries

  • Optional: salt or seasoning of choice

  • Optional: olive oil spray (for extra crispiness)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer:

    • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes. Preheating helps to achieve a consistent crispiness.

  2. Prepare the Fries:

    • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking (optional).

    • Arrange the sweet potato waffle fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding—this allows hot air to circulate and ensures even cooking. If necessary, cook in batches.

  3. Air Fry the Waffle Fries:

    • Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking to ensure even crisping.

    • Depending on the desired crispiness, adjust the cooking time. For extra crispy fries, add an additional 2 minutes.

  4. Season and Serve:

    • Once the waffle fries are golden and crispy, remove them from the air fryer and season with salt or your favorite seasoning while still hot.

    • Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.

Pro Tips:

  • Shake for Even Cooking: Shake the basket halfway through cooking to ensure that all fries cook evenly and get crispy.

  • Extra Crispiness: If you prefer extra crispy waffle fries, add a light spray of olive oil before cooking. This will help them crisp up even more.

  • Batch Cooking: If you’re cooking the whole bag, it’s best to work in batches to avoid overcrowding. Overcrowded fries will steam rather than crisp.

  • Reheat Leftovers: Reheat any leftover fries in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 3-4 minutes to regain their crispiness.

Serving Suggestions:

  • Classic Dips: Serve with ketchup, ranch dressing, or chipotle mayo for dipping.

  • Sweet Option: Dust the fries with cinnamon and a touch of sugar for a sweet treat.

  • Loaded Waffle Fries: Add toppings like shredded cheese, bacon bits, and green onions for loaded waffle fries. Return to the air fryer for 2-3 minutes to melt the cheese.Air Fryer Alexia Sweet Potato Waffle Fries
