Air Fryer S'more Dip
Servings: 4-6
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 5-7 minutes
Total Time: 10-12 minutes
Ingredients:
1 cup milk chocolate chips (or semi-sweet for a richer flavor)
1 cup mini marshmallows
2 tablespoons graham cracker crumbs
1 tablespoon unsalted butter (optional, for greasing)
4-6 graham crackers or waffle cones, for dipping
Instructions:
Prepare the Air Fryer Basket:
Lightly grease a small, oven-safe dish that fits in your air fryer basket. You can use a small ramekin or a pie dish. If you prefer a crispy edge, you can coat it with a thin layer of butter.
Layer the Dip:
Pour the chocolate chips into the dish, spreading them evenly across the bottom.
Top with the mini marshmallows. You can use as many as you like for a gooey or slightly crispier top.
Air Fry the Dip:
Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
Place the dish in the air fryer basket and cook for 5-7 minutes, depending on your air fryer model and how golden you want the marshmallows. Keep an eye on it as it cooks since marshmallows can burn quickly.
Serve and Enjoy:
Once the marshmallows are golden and the chocolate is melted, remove the dip carefully from the air fryer.
Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over the top for added flavor and crunch.
Serve immediately with graham crackers or waffle cones for dipping. Enjoy your warm, gooey, and delicious s'more dip!
Pro Tips:
Control the Marshmallow Texture: To get the perfect toasted marshmallows, keep a close watch on them towards the end of cooking. If you like them lightly toasted, stop once they just begin to brown. If you prefer a charred effect, let them cook a little longer, but be careful not to burn them!
Layering for Even Melting: To ensure even melting of both the chocolate and marshmallows, make sure the chocolate chips are spread evenly across the bottom. If the marshmallows are piled too high, they might not toast evenly.
Use a Sweetened Condensed Milk Base: For an ultra-creamy s'more dip, you can mix a couple of tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk with the chocolate chips before placing them in the air fryer. This creates a rich, smooth dip that's even easier to scoop up with your graham crackers.
Make it a S'more Bar: Try mixing in some chopped nuts like crushed almonds or pecans into the chocolate layer for added crunch and flavor. A drizzle of caramel or peanut butter also gives this dip a fun, gourmet twist!
Serving Suggestions: If you're serving this dip at a party or gathering, consider offering a variety of dipping options, such as pretzels, cookies, or even fruit slices like apples and strawberries. The sweetness of the dip pairs well with these different textures and flavors.
Watch for Overheating: If you're using a larger ramekin or dish that might not fit perfectly in your air fryer basket, make sure there's space around it for air circulation. If the heat can't circulate properly, your dip might cook unevenly.
Storage and Reheating: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. To reheat, place the dip back in the air fryer at 300°F for about 3-4 minutes, or microwave it in short bursts to keep the chocolate creamy and melted.
